This resource is supported by the Department of Education and is aimed at primary school teachers. It seeks to explore the power that an inclusive, diverse reading list can have in changing attitudes and helping to prevent young people from experiencing bullying behaviour due to prejudice and intolerance.

1. Educators will explore the role that books have to play in helping to prevent young people from experiencing bullying behaviour.  

2. Educators will explore the concept of books as ‘windows and mirrors’ and be given suggestions for books that they could include on their reading lists.  

3. Educators will be signposted towards other websites and organisations that can offer tips on diversifying reading lists and sourcing books.
