The amount of fake news and misinformation is increasing but it can be hard to spot. By sharing posts online without thinking, dangerous false information can spread and cyberbullying behaviour can increase. With young people spending more time online and the news cycle moving faster than ever as a result of Covid-19, here is our advice for young people and their families. We will cover how to spot fake news, how to talk to others if you’re unsure and how to stop it from spreading. We also provide a poster that can be put up in schools or shared online.
